Hello Robert,
For this photo I used the 70-300mm lens, such as for almost all the photos taken from my home.
We got the 500mm for both of us (my husband has a Nikon as well). It's meant for taking photos of smaller ships and "far away" subjects, such as the photo of the Bow sisters. The thing is actually too heavy for me to carry around. So be aware before I lend it you! You cannot put it in your pocket. I'm sorry that you don't have such a thing. We just could buy it as Rob got his end-of-the-year-bonus.
I'll answer your question about the New Waterway in an e-mail, okay?
I suggest you commented good photos, as they ended up being most viewed. Good choice!
Friendly greetings,
Ria

Very nice shot Ria, as i can see you make a very good use of your new 500 mm lens...Hope it would not matter if i borrow you that big lens for a month or two....He He He...of course i am just jooking but i would have been over excited if Santa-Claus could have put one like that in my present... Hope you will have lot of pleasure with that and continue to let us enjoy your great shots from you so well located spot! Question for you Ria : on your comment you talk about New Waterway river...for how long this new Waterway is in use????
Very nice lady you upload, thanks to share, very best regards, Robert08
Ps : funny thing : when i connect on the site this morning two of the most viewed photos were two on which i make comments because i find them unusual and quite interesting.
