OM: this vessel still carry some form of bulbous bow it is different. Like stretched in the vertical direction and more streamlined. It will suit a larger range of draft, fully loaded, ballast, etc

Still not understandable why refused from bulbs. For a minimum of 50 years this was considered an economy, now back to the old design of the front... Information on this issue not found. Explain please, who knows.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the answers. Didn't think HMM wasn't part of Hyundai(HHI)...

It needs to be said that "Hyundai" (just like "Samsung") are pretty generic names; the former stands for "modernity", and the latter for "three stars".
I've seen a number of companies with those names (obviously unrelated to their big ... "lookalikes"), even if those names were written a bit differently, and with some additions, like Hyeondae this and Samseong that.

Anyway, Phil's comment sums it up nicely.

Cheers,

Vlad

Because Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) are unrelated to shipbuilding group Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) and are free to order new ships where they choose.

Hi. Who can say why Hyundai placed an order at the shipyard Daewoo?
