Description:

Lead ship of nine LNG-fueled 23,000 TEU Jacques Saadé-class container ships built by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding & Jiangnan Shipyard, the 2020-built, 221,251 DWT container ship 🇫🇷CMA CGM Jacques Saadé inbound Le Havre port, France this morning (April 26, 2021).

She departed Singapore on April 8th carrying 21,433 TEU, claiming a world record for the largest number of full containers loaded aboard a single vessel. The ship will discharge around 5,000 TEU in Le Havre.

Today is also the 65th anniversary of the sailing of SS Ideal X from Newark to Houston with 58 35' containers on board, the first commercially successful container transport by sea.
