Thank you Ian and Pieter, that's made it clearer. I THINK WHAT Baffled me was the earlier photo's and the categories they were placed in which was behind my questioning.

It could well be that the vessel was completed before 1-1-2021, but that the building contract stipulated that hand-over would be on the first of January 2021. In this way the ship would not be affected by (a theoretical) measure that would relate to all LNG carriers built up to 2020.

No MattB the keel is laid about 12 months prior to launching or in some cases a little earlier, some sites on the internet have this vessel completed in 2020 but she was actually completed on the 1-1-2021.
